I'm So Excited... And I Just Can't Hide It!!

I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!!!

Well, those of you who know me pretty well, know that I'm always looking for some new adventure to get myself into. I've been eyeing this "sport" for a couple years now, and I've decided... it is time.

Behold!! MY NEW MOUNTAIN BIKE!!!!!
And the best news is that Clay and I BOTH got mountain bikes so we can ride together!!! ISN'T THAT THE CUTEST THING YOU'VE EVER HEARD?!?!?!?
Ok, so we don't actually HAVE the bikes in our possession yet because we put them on layaway (so much better than using a credit card people), and we'll have them in a couple months. I'm so excited... did I say that already? WELL I AM!!
The Important Things:
We must give a shout out to the Big Man for giving us the funds to make such a purchase. We have been wanting to do this for a long time and He has, of course, given us the desires of our heart. I cannot even begin to go into how much we don't deserve this, but I am so totally grateful. I plan on exploring this beautiful creation and gettin' some good exercise while I'm at it. *Sigh* God is so good to us. Even when we make the worst decisions EVER! He always restores us when we come to Him broken and afraid. Clay and I have a great story to tell about this very subject if you ever want to hear it... we should go to lunch.
Also, I look ridiculous on my bike because I haven't ridden one in like a billion years. So, if you're thinkin' about hookin' up with us and goin' biking together... you can forget it! At least for the first couple months. When I look cool on it I'll let you know.

I Delight in You Always...

Well... i've been working at Healthy Me for 3 weeks (i think) and have been praying that they would give me morning shifts instead of the night shifts i've been working. In case you are not married- FYI: working late at night while your spouse is home alone and by the time you get home you're too tired to even have a conversation and your house is a mess... etc... is not a good idea for the ol' marry-age. Anywho, so I've been seriously praying about this because I believe that it is the Lord's will for clay and i to spend time together and i'm pretty dang sure that His will is for us to continue being happily married. So, guess what i got today...
The girl who has all the morning shifts--- yeah, she put in her two weeks today. AND!! She called ME to see if I would want to switch shifts with her NOW so she can start training for her new job. I mean... I'm constantly-- CONSTANTLY-- in awe of the God I serve. Why does He even care about these little things that seem so insignificant? Why does He give us the desires of our hearts? We sure as heck don't deserve it, I can tell you that much. I know why, i just can't understand it. So, I won't try. I'll just bask in the holiness and graciousness of the Lord. I'm so grateful for this simple gift He's given me, but I'm also astouded with how He continues to provide for Clay and I-- making it impossible to do anything but praise Him (no really... i got off work and rolled my window down and sang a little Shane and Shane--- maybe at the top of my lungs, i can't be completely sure). I'm just so in love I can hardly stand it.

And the little memory verse the kids learned while LBS was goin' on: "When you REST in the LORD, He will give you PEACE. Isa. 26:3" -- go get some.

Prayer request:
Please pray for my family that I nanny for. They are going through some very difficult times and need all the prayers they can get. Just give God a shout out on their behalf while you're reading this. Thanks. I look forward to answers to those prayers.

Ex-nay on the Uddy-May

So, I did the Muddy Miles this morning with Bri. And although we really didn't see all that much mud, it was really fun getting to run with a buddy. We smoked the competition with our times of 33:33 and 33:34... not really... we didn't win. It was for a great cause though (Big Brother, Big Sister) and it was a beautiful morning. We've decided to start running together a few times a week at 6 in the am... so anyone who would like to join give me a shout. Here's some before and after shots of today.

AFTER... ARRRRGH!

In other news... today is the first day of Coppell's Farmers Market!!! WOO HOO!! I'm planning on heading up there in a little bit to check out our booth! I love springtime!! Yay for outdoors and yay for God's beautiful creation. Thank you Lord for beautiful days, good friends, and Oatmeal Cream Pies....
