Blues Brother

Well, we are well into the new year by now and I hope everyone is still pluggin away at those new year's resolutions (or new year's revolutions). So far I've been doing a pretty good job (with some help from the big guy upstairs) of going to the gym and eating better. It really is amazing how great you feel when you just do those two things. I mean, I can't for the life of me understand why we treat our bodies the way we do when it feels so good to treat our bodies well.

Anyway, this has been my first week of being home while Clay goes to work. I'm a housewife!!! Scary, I know. But I'm really loving it. God is being so faithful (I know you're shocked). I'm still doing stuff for the church. Right now I'm working on promoting a women's retreat.

ALSO, I'm working on my brother's album cover. We are getting stuff ready for his demos. It's gonna be great!

My wonderful and beautiful sister (in-law) took some fabuous pictures of Matt a while back ago and we're using them for the album cover. (If you haven't seen her work you need to go to shanrenee.com right now and see what I'm talking about.) Let me know which one you like the best:

He's playing Saturday night at The Door in Deep Ellum at 8 pm. Check out his myspace page and listen to some original pieces. He'll rock your freakin' face off!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years. We are finally back in town and ready to get back to civilization. Clay spent 3 weeks in Amarillo helping out the Yellow Book there and then we popped down to L-town to hang with his folks and my sweet and precious neice and nephew, Maggie and Joey (I'm totally Joey's favorite). I'll try to get some pics up before long. When we got back from Lubbock we had about two days til we left to go celebrate our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! Can you believe it's been a whole year?!? WEIRD! We spent 2 nights at The Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine and it was fabulous of course. We saved for 6 months just so we could stay there on our anniversary... well worth it.

So, now we're back spending time with my fam. Daniel and Shanna came in for New Year's and will be here a few days before they head off to another wedding in Houston. I miss them a lot...

I pray that you all will have a blessed New Year, that you will be filled with hope and peace and joy beyond your understanding. I pray the Lord will bless you 10 times more than He did in the year 2006. Love.
