E.W.

This is Eric. If you don't know him... you should. His name is Eric Whitacre and I think that he is the most talented and blessed composer of coral music I've ever encountered. Some of you may know that our wedding featured his music... his beautiful music. Well, he is actually in town this weekend doing some Master classes at Tech and will be conducting several of his own pieces Saturday night. I found out today that he was also doing a concert tonight!! So, Clay and I went. It was amazing. The music that we heard was... moving... perfect... pure. To make a long story short, Clay was able to meet Eric today while he was rehearsing the singers for the concert tonight. I however, was not as fortunate. I won't be able to make it to the concert tomorrow on account of the state meet we're hosting. Needless to say, I'm sick. I did my best not to cry when I had found out that he had already returned to his hotel before I got a chance to say hello. Is it wrong to pray that somehow I would be able to meet him? Cause I think I'm going to. His music is wonderfully crafted and it will change your life. If you are interested in the concert AT ALL, PLEASE GO:
Saturday April 29th
8:00 pm at Hemmle recital hall
Texas Tech University
And if you happen to catch Eric please tell him that he has blessed my life with his music and that I look forward to meeting him... hopefully soon. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must "surrender off to sleep." (Sleep - Eric Whitacre composer). Please enjoy------- www.ericwhitacre.com

Graphic Designing...

As some of you may know, I LOOOOVE graphic designing! I've been working on a lot more stuff lately for all kinds of events and I am thinking that I need to start a little business on the side. The dilema: I need a name for this little business! I would like to stay away from using my name. I've thought about just using "Upstairs," but then I need a tag line or something to go with it. Why upstairs you ask? Well, for one I started really getting into all of this since Clay and I got married and moved into our UPSTAIRS apartment. But also, I like the subtle implication that the ideas aren't coming from me, but rather from the Big Man Upstairs. I want my designs to be fun, lively, weird, and somewhat simple. So help me out with a tag line that would imply those things. Here's some of my recent stuff. I'm a work in progress - remember that. Rachel and Nick's shower invitations!!!

A "Dream" Come True... cheesy, I know.

Well, I have accepted the job from Texas Dreams Gymnastics as of TODAY! I am very excited and extremely blessed to have such an amazing opportunity. I will be learning LOTS of new things in this position and am totally siked about it all. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to hit your knees for Clay's job situation. It's only a few (like 7) weeks away! Dallas, here we come!

This picture has nothing to do with getting a job, I just wanted to show off my muscles... HA!

Monk And Neagle

So, we went to see Monk And Neagle Friday night with Mel and Dave (one of Dave's fav bands) and I was pleasantly surprised. Mel and I didn't really feel like going to a "concert," but I left feeling pretty blessed by it. They are truly amazing musicians and I can tell that their love for the Lord is genuine and precious. We had the opportunity to meet them and their beautiful wives after their show. THEN, we went to Chili's and saw them there again!! They are still on the road touring so say a prayer for them real quick when you read this. If you've never heard their music go listen to it now. I just know you'll love it. (And by the way... I definately didn't take these pics. I got them off their website: Trent Monk - left & Michael Neagle - right)
